RBI Increases ATM Withdrawal Limit to Rs 4,500 from Rs 2,500

Big relief for common man, the Reserve bank of India increased daily withdrawal limit to Rs 4500 from Rs 2500 earlier.

The new limit will be applicable from Jan 1, 2017.

Fifty day deadline got over yesterday on Dec 20, 2016 for returning bank notes of 500 and 1000 as per demonetisation process to curb black money in India.

We can expect from relaxation ahead to post 50-day deadline that has come to an end, yesterday night we saw this circular being released by the Reserve bank of India. Now at the ATM’s withdrawal limit of Rs 2,500 has been increased to Rs 4,500.

This news came as a backdrop of Narendra Modi speech at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi.

This is the first step after demonetisation and more relaxation are expected soon.
